The underground porous strata which contains natural gas and from which it is produced. "Sand" as used here is a generic term that may denote a porous limestone or dolomite, as well as a sandstone or unconsolidated sand formation.

As of 11 p.m. Tropical Storm Fay is still crawling west at only 2 mph, with the storm's center 25 miles west-northwestward of Daytona Beach. As of 5 p.m. Tropical Storm Fay is moving west at nearly 5 mph with Fay's center just west of Flagler Beach. Fay is forecast to continue moving west at slow pace for the next couple days. Tree killer hits Burke-Gilman trail

The Seattle Parks and Recreation Department Thursday morning says someone intentionally has killed seven, 70-foot high trees along the trail at Northeast 77th Street, apparently by injecting herbicide into holes drilled around the trunks.
