Students organize run to benefit Katrina victims

A 5K run to benefit survivors of Hurricane Katrina and organized by students from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring will take place 8:30 a.m. Aug. 31 at Silver Spring International Middle School, 313 Wayne Ave. The race course goes along Sligo Creek Parkway between Wayne Avenue and Colesville Road. Registration starts 7:30 a.m. and a picnic will follow the race.
